Amazon workers in the UK have come a step closer to gaining union recognition for the first time as officials from the GMB arrive at the tech firm’s Coventry depot to kick off a month-long ballot process.
Officials from the union are to visit the West Midlands site on Wednesday after the GMB was granted the right to hold the legally binding ballot by the independent Central Arbitration Committee. Amazon had rejected a request for voluntary recognition. Continue reading...
